The RINECKER PROTON THERAPY CENTER (RPTC), located in Munich, is the first European proton radiation centre for the outpatient treatment of tumours to offer a complete hospital setting. Established upon the initiative of the Munich-based surgeon Dr. Hans Rinecker, the Centre’s goal is to set up additional facilities in other cities and countries.

The RPTC has been designed to ensure a treatment capacity of 4,000 patients annually. Under favourable conditions, this number may be increased to 5,000 patients a year.
