The DR. RINECKER SURGICAL HOSPITAL is a specialty surgical center with departments for general and abdominal surgery, heart surgery, trauma surgery and vascular surgery. In addition, the clinic has a center for spinal surgery, a breast center with oncological and plastic surgery, and a center for minimally-invasive and thoracic surgery.

The intensive care unit managed by a team of anesthesiologists has 20 beds, ten of which have respirator support. There is also a recovery room with three beds for postoperative patient monitoring. In addition there are 12 intermediate-care-beds.

The hospital’s Diagnostic Department provides all of the latest diagnostic tools, including spiral computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and a complete endoscopy unit.

The hospital roof has an ICAO Annex 14-compliant helicopter landing site. The hospital is an emergency physician station of the Munich fire department’s EMS system. It has a cutting-edge trauma center for patients with life-threatening injuries.

Since June 2006, the hospital is an academic teaching hospital of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The chairman of the hospital is a member of the Munich Tumor Center.
